2008 TubaMania International Festival
Feb 1-3, 2008, TubaMania hosted its first international event in Asia.
The 2008 TubaMania International Festival was held in Thailand at
Bangkok's MIFA International Academy of Msic, was co-presented by Silpakorn
University and TubaMania, and was hosted by Steve Rosse and Lertkiat
Chongjiratra. Over 90 students
registered and participated from all over Asia in daily warm-ups, master
classes, recitals, concerts, a mass
low brass ensemble, and concluded and Bangkok's Bamboo Beer Bar with a final
performance of pop , jazz, and rock by Croatia's XL Tuba Quartet.
