The Second TubaMania International Conference featured over 30 guest performers/ masterteachers and accompanists from five continents, including Daniel Perantoni, Oystein Baadsvik, Mel Culbertson, Floyd Cooley, Steven Mead, Shoichiro Hokazono, Brian Bowman, Jacques Mauger, the Sydney Symphony trombone section, and many more.   Over 250 participants from around the globe took part in daily masterclasses, lessons, and international competitions.  The three competition winners included Roland Szentpali (Hungary, Tuba Solo Competition), Scott Kinmont (Australia, Euphonium Solo Competition), and the JOHS Tuba Quarter from Japan (Chamber Music Competition).  Other prize winners represented the Netherlands, the USA, and Spain.  Performimng ensembles included the Royal Australian Air Force Band, Willoughby City Band, Kunitachi College Euphonium Ensemble (Japan), E.A.S.T. Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble (Japan), the University of North Carolina Greensboro Tuba Band, and the musicians of the Sydney Symphony.
