Model PT-30's cup diameter and Volume result in a
mouthpiece of moderate dimensions. The sound is well-centered yet
round and offers acceptable tonal modulation with large dynamic range.
It has the darkness necessary for use in large ensembles while
maintaining clarity for solo, quintet or high range playing. It is a
fine mouthpiece of moderate size suitable to any tube.
Model PT-32 is intended for all around playing. It
combines full and powerful middle and low registers with easy high
range accessibility It can be used with all types of tubas.

Model PT-38 is a further development of the highly
successful Model PT-36. The cup is slightly wider at the top third of
it's length; the rounded rim is very comfortable, even for long
playing sessions. The mouthpiece has a similar sound to the Model
PT-36 due to a slightly tighter backbore. This model is recommended
for players with large lips who prefer a clear symphonic sound with
great power and projection.

Model PT-42 provides a strong fundamental with a clear

Model PT-48 is a funnel-shaped mouthpiece which produces
a full orchestral sound. It is recommended for players with strong
embouchures and is designed especially for use with larger bore CC and
BBb tubas.

Model PT-49 has a larger cup than the PT-48, yet is not
quite as large as model PT-50. Low register response is superb,
combined with a particularly full and powerful mid range. An
exceptionally good large mouthpiece.
Model PT-50 is the largest funnel-shaped style in the
current line. The sharp inner rim aids articulation and tonal clarity
in this well-above-average cup volume. This model provides huge
dynamic range and fast response. It aids low register playing while
still providing a good upper range. It is recommended for advanced
players who prefer a truly large mouthpiece.

Model PT-60 is a standard-rim, shallow cup mouthpiece.
The small throat and tight backbore provides the brilliance required
for solo, chamber, or recording performance, but can also be used for
playing where a transparent sound is desired, particularly on large
tubas. This is an all around, basic F-tuba mouthpiece which allows the
player to take full advantage of the technical and high-range
possibilities.

Model PT-62 is a cushion-rim version of model PT-60. It
is well-suited to extend length solo performances or long recording
sessions. It is recommended for players with large lips, or for those
players who wish to reduce the stress on the embouchure.
Model PT-64 provides a lively and exciting sound with a
clear core and excellent projection. It also allows great flexibility
and a remarkable tone color for the CC tuba. It is recommended
especially for the F and Eb tubas, giving great power and a commanding
nature for solo performance with large accompanying ensembles, or for
use in executing the high-range orchestral literature. This is one of
the most popular tuba mouthpieces today.
Model PT-66 is a traditional, German-style mouthpiece
giving a clear and lively sound. Its deeper cup provides more volume
with a slightly mellower quality than model PT-64. It is highly
recommended for the F and Eb tubas, but is also useful for the CC and
BBb tubas where quick response and a clear, vibrant sound is desired.
Model PT-68 is a high-dynamic range mouthpiece with an
essentially bright sound. It has a clear quality combined with a
fullness expected only from deeper mouthpieces. It gives great power
and a commanding nature to the F tuba, especially for solo
performances with large accompanying ensembles.
Model PT-70 is a fairly deep mouthpiece with a
bell-shaped cup. This gives a broad sound with quick response. It is a
very comfortable and powerful mouthpiece which features a brilliant
sound and is highly recommendeed for any tuba.

Model PT-72 is a large mouthpiece for the F or Eb tuba.
The sound has considerable weight combined with the richness and
clarity associated with the German concept. It is also recommended for
intermediate level students of the BBb and CC tubas.

Model PT-80 is designed for use in orchestral playing
where one desires a clear yet moderately dark sound. It has great
projection in all registers and is recommended for the F or Eb tuba.

Model PT-82 is a high-dynamic range, German-style
mouthpiece, especially designed for large or otherwise mellow sounding
instruments. The low register response is particularly good.

Model PT-83 offers a distinct but dark sound in all
registers. The sharp inner rim provides quick response. It is designed
for use with the CC and BBb tubas. It is an all-purpose mouthpiece.
Model PT-84 provides a powerful, projecting sound. It is
very flexible, has a good upper range, and gives a very quick response
for a mouthpiece of this size, particularly in the low range. This is
a very popular mouthpiece, highly recommended for the Eb tuba.
Model PT-86 offers a very wide cup for players with
particularly large lips. It favors middle and low registers,
particularly when high volume is desired. The tonal character is round
and weighty.

Model PT-88 was primarily intended as a special
applications mouthpiece for low register playing. However, it has
found considerable acceptance for use on medium-large and large bore
CC tubas. It serves very well on any BBb tuba, providing a very full
