Recent Achievements


Competed in the Open A-Grade Brass Band section of Australian National Band Championships 2009

Awarded:


 Open Cornet Winner, 
NZ Open Champion of Champions and 
Jnr. Champion of Champions Winner

The band congratulates Paula Russell, winner of the Open Cornet Solo Competition. Paula later went on to New Zealand where she became "NZ Brass Champion of Champions".  John Ramsay, winner of the Australian Jnr. Euphonium Solo Competition went on to win the Australian  Jnr. Brass Champion of Champions. Both band members are members of  MPV Brass and the band is proud to host such fine musicians.


 National Band Championships 2009: 
"Most Entertaining Change of Direction"

As part of the Brass Band Competition MPV Brass participated in the Street March which was held at the Royal Easter Show performing the South Sydney Rabbitoh's theme song.. While marching is certainly not the Band's forte, we are proud to  hold the title for the "Most Entertaining Change of Direction" in the march.
